Do you really know if you are STD free, or do you just know?
I have found that every one, (including persons in the medical
profession) just short of one person whom I have tried to
talk to, or tried to discuss the subject of really knowing
their status about STD's, realy doesn't know
their status.
I had thought that persons in the medical profession (excluding
doctors) would think a little bit more inteligently about
the topic of disease than the average lay person, but I was
wrong.
The ONLY way to really know one's status about ANY disease
would be to get tested, and depending on the disease, geting
tested multipule times from different laboratories -
to comfirm the results one way or another.
When the health departments in Indiana and Illinois, offer
free, anonymous, HIV and other disease screening, why
wouldn't any one in their right mind get tested?
Who doesn't know that after a possible exposure to
any disease, that the sooner one is tested, the better the
chances for treatment (doctors excluded), and if the results
are negative, repeated testing is a must!
